How To Play “Mood” by 24kGoldn

Mood (feat. iann dior) was at the top of the charts for weeks, and for good reason. I could listen to the guitar riff on repeat for days, which is why I had to make a guitar video for it.

This entire song uses a single riff. The trick with this riff is to mute the strings that aren’t listed in the tab below with the other fingers on your playing hand. In other words, you only want 2-3 notes at a time to ring out – you shouldn’t be able to hear the sound of the open strings on your guitar.

It can also be difficult to slide up if you have old or dirty strings. I recommend new strings, and if they are sticky, try using some WD-40, or some guitar of guitar string cleaner to help your hand glide across the strings a little better.

Pro Tip

Tip: Mute the strings that are not numbered on the tab above.
